Recess Relay - is Here!

“Hunt for a Cure” Recess Relay at Raccoon School

“Hunt for a Cure” Recess Relay Week at Raccoon Grade School will be held April 27th-

May 1st. 


We will kickoff our event on Friday, April 24th.  We will educate the children

about cancer and the mission of the American Cancer Society and raise funds to

support the battle against cancer.

Our “Hunt for a Cure” Recess Relay Schedule

Monday, April 27th- Scope out the Future; wear your sunglasses

Tuesday, April 28th- Glow your Support; wear your neon

Wednesday, April 29th- Camouflage Cancer; wear your camo gear

Thursday, April 30th- Honor all Warriors; wear your favorite hat

Friday, May 1st- Hunt for a Cure; wear your Relay shirts/purple **Public is invited to attend our Recess Relay at 1:00pm at RGS .

Throughout the week, Raccoon Beta Club and Student Council will be selling Relay

gear. We will have Hair Bows for $5, Bandanas for $3, Dog tags for $1, Pencils for

$.25  We will also have Luminaria bags available for $1.  These bags can be filled out

in remembrance of lost loved ones, or in honor of survivors.  The bags will be

displayed in our gym during the event Friday, May 1st at 1:00pm.

Students, staff, and community are encouraged to bring in spare change and

donations to our office throughout the week.  If we reach our goal of $1500, School

Superintendent, Matt Renaud, and Science teacher, Chris White will compete against

each other in a Camo hunt/Sumo wrestling style the following week.

Cancer survivors are invited to contact the school and join us as we begin our event

with a moment of honor. We invite the community to walk laps with us as we

Celebrate, Remember, and Fight Back on Friday, May 1st at 1:00pm.  If you are

interested in making a donation to our cause, please feel free to contact the school.  All

profits raised will be donated to the American Cancer Society via Relay for Life.
