Hello! I would like to tell you a little about myself. I grew up in Carlinville, Illinois. Upon graduation from high school, I attended Eastern Illinois University where I graduated with a double major in elementary and special education. I began teaching first grade special education in the fall of 1999 in Riverton, Illinois. In 2000, I met my husband, Chad, and began teaching at Raccoon Grade School the fall of 2001. This is my fifteen year at Raccoon Grade School. I have taught four years of sixth grade and four years of first grade in my beginning years at Raccoon. I now teach lower grades special education.
Chad and I got married in Dec, 2001. We now live on the outskirts of Centralia. Chad is a boilermaker with Local 363. He travels a lot for his job and works extremely long hours in the spring and fall. In August of 2003, we were blessed with our daughter, Lauren. With that bright red hair, she is a spitfire. She is in seventh grade at RGS and loves cheerleading. In November of 2005, we were blessed with our son, Cade. Cade is the typical boy--into sports, constantly bothering his sister, and loves reading. He also goes to Raccoon and is fifth grade.
