I am Mrs. Angie Watkins. I will be the resource teacher for the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades this school year. This will be my 29th year of teaching. The last 25 have been at Raccoon School where I have taught in an L.D. Resource class, 2nd grade, kindergarten and 5th grade. It is an honor to be a part of the Raccoon Teaching staff.
I live in the small town of Hoffman, Illinois, about 20 miles East of Raccoon School. My husband is a mathematics instructor for Kaskaskia College. My daughter Beth graduated from Greenville College and currently lives and works in St. Louis, MO. My son, Chris, will continue his education at DePaul University in Chicago. We love to travel as a family. We went to the beach. We enjoyed visits from my two nieces from Texas. We read books, swam a lot, painted a little and just enjoyed one anothers good company.
We have a crazy dog, Da Vincii. He loves to dig large holes in my yard and jump all over people because he just loves them. My kids decided they should have named him Houdini because he is an escape artist. He can get out of just about every kind of collar or leash and just looks at you and smiles one of those doggie smiles.
I love being a teacher at Raccoon and helping each student with their individual needs.
I am looking forward to another great year at Raccoon Elementary School.
