The Bus for the 7th grade field trip should be arriving back at the School around 2:25pm for any of these students that will be pick ups.
Due to the possibility of severe weather, we will be dismissing at 2:30 PM today. Pick ups will start dismissing at 2:15 PM This is to ensure that the bus drivers and all students and staff can make it home safely.

STATE Track Meet Results – Murphysboro, Saturday
Raccoon School was proudly represented at the State Track Meet in Murphysboro this past Saturday. Our student-athletes delivered outstanding performances:
Jorja earned 2nd place in the Shot Put.
John secured 3rd place in the Discus.
Scout placed 6th in the 1600-meter run, breaking her school record with an impressive time of 5:54.64.
Congratulations to all our state qualifiers for their hard work, dedication, and for representing Raccoon School with excellence!

Unfortunately, one of our buses is broken down and being worked on. Tomorrow morning the Green Bus route will be approximately 10 minutes early. And the Yellow bus route will Not start until 7:40am. We will have to wait until the Green Bus route is done and returns to school before we can begin the Yellow bus route. These students will not be counted as late and breakfast will be provided once they get to school.

Our drop-off procedures are in place to ensure everyone’s safety. Recently, we've observed actions that are not following the rules—such as stopping in the circle drive in the closest lane to bring items to the office during drop off times, dropping off children in the parking lot and letting them run across the parking lot without adult supervision, or driving too fast through the parking lot. These actions put others at risk. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, ALL KINDERGARTEN - EIGHTH GRADE DROP OFFS NEED TO BE DONE IN THE CIRCLE DRIVE. All drop-offs must follow the designated procedures without exception. Safety is not optional.

Doors open at 5:30pm.
Kids are encouraged to wear bright colors to chase away the gloomy weather. All students should be seated on bleachers, in their sections by 5:55pm. Hope to see you there!!!
