Kindness cards this week ... part 1!
8th graders are working on making ornaments from the late 1800s to the early 1900s after learning about How the Other Half Lives: Christmas in the Tenements. They are only allowed to use pinecones, twine, evergreen branches, rags, buttons and newspaper.
Reminder: Santa’s Cottage will be held on Tuesday, December 9th. Each student will be able to purchase 5 gifts for $1.00 each.
Wednesday morning will be for any students who were not here Tuesday. Pictures with Santa will be on Tuesday only.
Please make sure your child brings their list and their money, by Tuesday morning.

Miles of Smiles is scheduled for February 3rd and 4th. Sign up is open, and FREE for all students! This service also meets the dental exam requirements for Kindergarten, 2nd and 6th graders. Please call the school at 618-532-7329 and ask for Nurse Kristie for more information!

December Practices
We are happy to announce the new Raccoon School volleyball coaches, Kayte Branch and Kyla Spencer. Tryouts have been set, and your daughter must have a current sports physical on file with the school nurse before tryouts. All athletes must be at tryouts on both days unless your daughter plays basketball.

It's getting cold outside. Please make sure your child has the appropriate outside wear ... coats, hats, gloves etc. We will go outside with wind chill 33 and above.
