Raccoon Grade School

Mrs. Rinderer’s CC class began a unit on the post office today. The students wrote postcards to each other and addressed them with a little help. They came to the office where Mrs. Johannes helped us with postage and walked them out to the mailbox in front of the school. They will have the Post Office center in their room for the rest of January.

Just a reminder... Tomorrow is a 2pm Dismissal! We will also be running the snow route tomorrow.

Mary’s bus (Blue) Part 2 Barker Rd - Meet at 161 at 7:38am and 3:55pm Hubbard’s Woods - Meet at 161 at 7:40am and 4:00pm Burge Rd - Meet at 161 at 7:45am and 4:10pm Someone must be at the stop to pick up the child(ren).The office will call if there are any changes.

Someone must be at the stop to pick up the child(ren).

Raccoon CSD #1 will be back in session on Tuesday, January 14th. The buses will not be able to go down some of the roads due to them being covered with snow/ice and these conditions make it hard to turn around. Please be patient as bus drivers will be taking their time to get your child(ren)to and from school. If you want to bring your child to school, cafeteria doors will be open at 7:40. Please make sure your child(ren)bring back all completed E-Learning assignments tomorrow. If you have any questions, please call the office tomorrow. The changes for each bus route will be posted shortly.

The bus drivers and myself drove the routes this evening. The rural roads are not in good condition. Everyone’s safety is our number one priority, and it is not safe at this time. We will be taking an E-Learning Day tomorrow. Students will need to complete Day 5 of their E-learning packet. Schools are allowed 5 E-learning days, so going forward if we have anymore days off, they will be snow days. Thank you, Mrs. Johannes

Due to inclement weather, road conditions and the Safety of our students…. Raccoon Grade School will utilize E-Learning Day tomorrow, January 10. Your child must complete Day 4 of their E-learning packets. Please make sure your child also completes the required sections in P.E and Music/Art. Just a reminder.... Work assigned on e-learning days will be due upon returning to school. No extra time will be given for incomplete work and will count as an unexcused absence and a zero grade for that assignment. Teachers will be available from 9am to 1pm on their communication platform to answer questions about any E-Learning assignment. Thank you!

Just a reminder..Please make sure you have your child's e-learning packet at home. If you cannot find it, you may stop by school tomorrow 10am-2pm and get a new copy. IF and WHEN an e-learning day is utilized, please remember your child's e-learning packet must be completed for that day. We will let you know what day of the packet is due.Example-"Day 1 of remote learning packet must be completed today". Work assigned on e-learning days will be due upon returning to school. No extra time will be given for incomplete work and will count as an unexcused absence and a zero for any assignment not completed. If and WHEN a snow day is utilized, no school work will need to be completed for that day.
